A Day In The Life of Miss Hiccup

with Le Frenchword

Thursday, February 14 at 8pm

A new kind of mad performance art!

The mysterious Miss Hiccup lives alone, but is definitely not lonely. She is forever accompanied by a raucous cast of sounds and music that make her life an absurd adventure.

This delightful, musical comedienne will dazzle you with her bizarre and hilarious stage antics.

With special guests Le Frenchword! Seattle’s second favorite absurdist performance trio.

About Shoshinz

Shoshinz is anglicized Japanese for shy, timid people, based on the belief that those people can feel and catch tiny beautiful things in the world.

This flowery lady never says a word, but she sings and dances and communicates with her body. She can deeply connect with the audience with her heart. Watching her, your imagination will soar, and it will be a performance that you will never forget. Are you ready?

About Le Frenchword

What kind of theatre would we make if we could make anything we want?

Le Frenchword Presents “Fancy Mud”

“Seattle’s own absurdist trio Le Frenchword brings its critically acclaimed original show “Fancy Mud” to Eclectic Theater; a collection of abstract comedy vignettes bolstered by a pastiche of movement, music and a deep and meaningful exploration of all things dumb. Directed by George Lewis, the story takes us from The Last Lame Three -Legged Dying Cow Of All Creation to the origins of the universe. With the help of cell phones, black holes, and the California Cute Cult, Le Frenchword delivers a pastel rainbow of laughter. Beware the flying bunny punch. Beware!

Written by Le Frenchword, Cast: Carter Rodriquez, Ben Burris & Sachie Mikawa.

with Zaniac Comedy and Variety

Friday, February 15 at 8pm.

Call Me Crazy is a solo show that is currently in the development stage. It is one woman’s journey through the mental health system. Luckily, Sarah Harris, our solo performer comes out the other side intact. On the way, she meets several therapists and psychiatrists. Some are better than others. Meet the characters she portrays: Dr. Feelgood, Dr. Doesn’t Know What She’s Doing, Dr. Satan, Dr. Chatty Cathy and Dr. I Wish Every Doctor Was Like You.

Call Me Crazy first came into form in a solo performance workshop at Freehold Theatre Lab & Studio in 2011. It was then seen at Stone Soup’s XX Fest 2.0 in 2012. A fuller version of the show was performed in October of 2012 for Sound Mental Health’s fundraiser: Eliminating
Stigma Through The Arts.

Alex Zerbe’s comedy show is a dynamic array of amazing stunts, physical comedy and audience participation. The show spotlights a variety of mind-blowing maneuvers like mouth juggling two ping pong balls and harpooning vegetables launched from a giant slingshot. Alex also chops celery with a thrown playing card and catches a romantic table for one on his face.

Alex is a gifted physical comedian and human cartoon. In addition to his incredible juggling skills, he performs beat-boxing, music looping, silly dances and funny raps. Alex is an original when it comes to family-friendly entertainment.
