Tonight at 10:30pm is the only Comedy Open Mic in the Seattle/Tacoma area that allows you to do up to ten minutes of Stand-Up, Sketch and Improv Comedy: The Comedy Workshop!

Hosted by your friendly neighborhood Comedian in training, Rik Deskin!

A weekly open mic opportunity for professional and amateur comedians, sketch comedians, and improvisational actors/improvisers to test new material and to develop their acts.

Inspired by The Comedy Workshop and Comics Annex of Houston’s Comedy scene in the 1980s to 1990s, Alum Rik Deskin, Actor and Artistic Director of Eclectic Theater Company wants to help cultivate and enhance Seattle’s Comedy Scene by creating a venue where comedians can perform between 3 to 10 minutes of material each.

Thursday nights @ 10:30pm.

Please note that we will not have a performance on Thanksgiving Thursday, November 24 but will move that week’s performance to Friday at 10:30pm.

Brown Bag Comedy is a weekly lunchtime show featuring two top Comedians and goes from 12:10-12:40pm at the Odd Duck Studio.

Produced by Eclectic Theater Company.

“Life Ampersand Death” is a brand new, full length sketch comedy show from Seattle’s stickiest and thirstiest troupe, Drop the Root Beer and Run. Featuring the talents of Baylie Freeman, Matt Hatfield, Zak Nelson, Caitlin Obom, and Matt Olson.Two nights only (Fridays September 23rd and 30th) so clear your schedules and invite all the friends you know you have. We won’t be going into syndication so don’t miss it or else you might feel sad or disappointed or something, and no one wants that!

At 12:30am (Midnight:30) of Friday going into Saturday is our FREE Sketch Comedy Open Mic, the only one in the Seattle area:

Anti-Allergy Nose Spray!

Anti-Allergy Nose Spray is a Sketch Comedy Open Mic. Anyone can submit a sketch and perform it at this show.

Sketches will be picked on a first come first served basis. The show will run as long as sketches are presented but not longer than 1 hour. 12:30AM-1:30AM on Saturday Morning (or late late Friday depending on your perspective).

Hosts include Rik Deskin and other Guest Hosts from Seattle’s Comedy scene!


-It’s open to all performers. Sign-up begins now until Midnight on Friday. It will end promptly @ Midnight so we can have a confirmed show, and running order up decently before showtime.

-Submit your sketch to Rik Deskin on Facebook by 1:30pm, Thursday or in person by Midnight Friday.

-Make sure your sketch is between 3 to 5 minutes long (meaning approx. 3 to 5 pages long). It will NOT be accepted if it’s more than the allotted time limit.

-You can submit multiple sketches. Let’s just be considerate so everyone gets to go on stage. We want to play fair so anyone who wants to put up a sketch will get the chance to do so with at least one sketch.

-Don’t forget to cast your sketch before you come to The AANS. You supply your own performers.

-And yes, to participate, it will cost you NOTHING!!! It’s FREE!!!!

Hello friends!!!! The Royal Friend Society and us are starting our 5 week run this Saturday and every Saturday in October! The show is at 10:30. We will have special guests Jay Hitt, Jen Rizor and a couple of others. Who else you ask? Well you’ll have to come find out! (Or it will probably be on our page the week of the show.) Plus, the last show or two will include a super scary halloween show – IN THE DARK!! I’m scared!!!!!
