On Friday at 10:30pm, Drop The Root Beer And Run are back with “Life Ampersand Death”, a brand new, full length sketch comedy show from Seattle’s stickiest and thirstiest troupe. Featuring the talents of Baylie Freeman, Matt Hatfield, Zak Nelson, Caitlin Obom, and Matt Olson.Two nights only (Fridays September 23rd and 30th) so clear your schedules and invite all the friends you know you have. We won’t be going into syndication so don’t miss it or else you might feel sad or disappointed or something, and no one wants that!

At a half hour past Midnight on Friday is our FREE Sketch Comedy Open Mic, 

Anti-Allergy Nose Spray!

Anti-Allergy Nose Spray is a Sketch Comedy Open Mic. Anyone can submit a sketch and perform it at this show.

Sketches will be picked on a first come first served basis. The show will run as long as sketches are presented but not longer than 1 hour. 12:30AM-1:30AM on Saturday Morning (or late late Friday depending on your perspective).

Hosts include Rik Deskin and other Guest Hosts from Seattle’s Comedy scene!


-It’s open to all performers. Sign-up begins now until Midnight on Friday. It will end promptly @ Midnight so we can have a confirmed show, and running order up decently before showtime.

-Submit your sketch to Rik Deskin on Facebook by 1:30pm, Thursday or in person by Midnight Friday.

-Make sure your sketch is between 3 to 5 minutes long (meaning approx. 3 to 5 pages long). It will NOT be accepted if it’s more than the allotted time limit.

-You can submit multiple sketches. Let’s just be considerate so everyone gets to go on stage. We want to play fair so anyone who wants to put up a sketch will get the chance to do so with at least one sketch.

-Don’t forget to cast your sketch before you come to The AANS. You supply your own performers.

-And yes, to participate, it will cost you NOTHING!!! It’s FREE!!!!

In addition to his live comedy shows, Simmons Funny 4 Food charity shows have raised over $50,000 for food banks in Western Washington and the shows have now expanded to Oregon. His Christmas events “Jokes for Little Folks” have generated 7,000 toys for kids in Seattle

On Sunday at 7pm is the September Mash-Up!

The eleventh mash-up will again be at Odd Duck Studio, coordinated by Interrobang?!. We ask that improvisers participating have either advanced improv class experience (i.e., Wing-It’s 301-level classes, UP’s 400-level classes) or improv performance experience.

We’ll do our best to mix people up to perform with as many people from outside their usual groups as possible. Groups for the night will be announced as the night progresses, and each mash-up will go approximately 15 minutes.

Thus far, everyone who’s attended has been able to mash up at least twice.

You know there are a ton of amazing improvisers in town you’ve wanted to work with. Now’s your chance!

On Monday at 7:30pm is a Play Reading of “When the Horizon Fails” by Ed Boyd.

A reading of the play open to the public. Q&A and feedback session. Come on down. it should be FUN!
